I know, I know - technically it’s the 19th. But all of the content of the podcast was recorded on the 15th and 16th - and without the editing snag, I would have gotten it up on the 16th - so I’m keeping that date on it.

Anyway, this episode is much better than the intro podcast, but I’m still working out a few things. You will notice that I tried a few segments with music in the background and, unfortunately, I think the background music was too loud for the most part. But, let me know what you think. Do you prefer it with background music? Would it be ok if the background music was softer? Does it sound better without background music? Am I a lunatic for thinking that anyone is even going to listen or, if so, would even care about that???? I still don’t have the editing thing down as well as I would like, so there are some places where the editing is very obvious. That is something that will probably just get better with time and experience, so please bear with me. Anyway, here are the shownotes with (hopefully) all associated links.

Sorry for the delay in publishing the first episode of Hypersensitive.  I was planning on getting it up Friday evening, but I had some last minute editing issues and had to finish up the editing over the weekend.  I should be uploading the episode this evening (hopefully!).  Thanks for your patience!

Head over to Matter of Happenstance to check out the first entry of Jenna’s Blog.  Jenna is the main character of the podiobook I am currently writing (which may or may not be titled “Matter of Happenstance,” or some variation thereof).  I will be talking about Jenna and her blog on tomorrow’s podcast - the first “official” episode of Hypersensitive!!!  I’ve tweaked the show a bit and am having more success in editing the audio files, so I think this first episode will be a great start to a (hopefully) successful and fun podcast!

This is a VERY rough first podcast which I put together quickly just to get it out of the way, so please give it at least one more try before giving up on me altogether. I am very hopeful that next week will be more cohesive and that I will have more stuff to talk about. I decided to bite the bullet and set up a podcast, since it’s been pretty much all I have been able to think about for the past few days. Maybe I’ll finally be able to get some sleep now? Anyway, I recorded a short introduction podcast which I will be posting shortly. The first few podcasts will probably be me rambling about the many things with which I am obsessed, but I hope to quickly find a comfortable format in which to talk about a variety of pop-culturey topics including but not limited to:

1. The status of my podiobook.

2. What is going on in my life in general.

3. Recognition of various people who have influenced me in some way.

4. Timely discussion of TV shows (and specific episodes thereof) and movies (theatrical and DVD).

5. Timely discussion of various podcasts to which I subscribe or are otherwise of interest.

6. Discussion of music-related topics.

7. Playlist for my iTunes iMix of the week.

There will also probably be a “healthy” amount of Joss Whedon worship and general fangirl squeeing when called for. So, stay tuned! And please - I feel like I am flying blind here, so I am hungry for feedback! If you have any thoughts, suggestions, additional topics or would even like to contribute to my podcast, please leave a comment here or email me.
